Dr. Malcolm Burgess is a 40 year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry with experience ranging from research, development, biometrics, clinical drug development to data management and IT. He brings valuable global perspectives as a result of spending significant time working in India and the Far East. Malcolm has held several executive and leadership roles throughout his career. He has a degree in chemistry from University College, London and a doctorate in biochemistry and physiology from the University of Bath. Although retired, Dr. Burgess continues to add value to the community through advisory positions on several boards and volunteer work for various charitable organizations.
Ken Wilcox – SVP and CIO, Roche, retired

Ken Wilcox has spent over 30 years in the healthcare industry leading change and transition in large, global organizations, and brings valuable insight from this experience to our organization. Ken has held numerous senior executive roles in several business sectors including energy, telecommunications, airlines, biotech, and big pharma. He taught anthropology at the University of Kansas. Ken has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology. He is a current advisory board member of SymphonyAI. Now retired, Ken is committed to fostering the creation and preservation of wilderness lands, crafting stories that compel others to share in his mission.
William Illis – VP and Program Leader of Process & Technology Optimization and Global Development Operations, Novartis

William Illis has extensive experience in drug research and development and information technology. His expertise in regulatory compliance, system validation and risk management will be useful in providing guidance to Acumen. William brings deep knowledge to the board through his many skills, specifically in strategic and tactical analysis, information technology, solution delivery, system support and regulatory compliance. William has held leadership roles in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries for over 15 years. He holds a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Providence College.
Michael Schmeiszer – Global Head of ITS, R&D and Quality & Compliance, Sanofi

Michael Schmeiszer has over 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry with experience in R&D application, infrastructure services and governance. His strengths in IS quality and compliance specifically will bring great value to his role on the advisory board. Michael has held leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years. He holds a degree in computer science and mathematics from Industrie & Handelskammer in Frankfurt, Germany and an ITIL certification.
